Logline

When estranged twin sisters reunite after years apart, buried family trauma, betrayal, and deception resurface, forcing them to confront a past where memories can’t be trusted—and neither can their reflections.

Synopsis

Kara and Zara are identical twin sisters whose lives were fractured at an early age by a troubled childhood, family trauma, and the destructive behavior of their mother, Tara. Though they share the same face, the sisters grew into very different women, carrying the emotional scars of their upbringing in very different ways. After years of separation and unresolved resentment, circumstances bring Kara and Zara back into each other’s lives. What begins as an uneasy reunion quickly forces old wounds to the surface. Memories of their childhood clash with the women they have become, while long-buried secrets begin to challenge everything Kara believes about her sister, her mother, and herself. As tensions within the family intensify, the line between memory and reality becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish. Kara is forced to confront painful questions surrounding grief, guilt, betrayal, emotional neglect, and the events that originally tore her family apart. The deeper she searches for answers, the more disturbing the truth becomes—and the people closest to her may not be who she believes them to be. Told through a psychological-thriller lens, Mirror explores how unresolved childhood trauma can follow a family for generations and distort the way people remember themselves and one another. As the past collides with the present, Kara must finally face the reflection she has spent years avoiding and uncover the truth buried within her family before it consumes what remains of them. Mirror is a psychological thriller filled with twists and turns that explores identity, grief, guilt, betrayal, trauma, and the dangerous consequences of a past that refuses to stay buried.
