Barbecue Know How from The Dr. Of Barbecue Rick Browne Phb.

Synopsis

Hosted by Rick Browne Phb. these 20+ shorts illustrate how to BBQ just about anything on your Grill! BBQA How To Que! brings the expertise, personality and backyard cooking spirit of the acclaimed PBS series Barbecue America into a fast, engaging format designed for today’s digital and streaming audience. Hosted by renowned barbecue expert Chef Rick Browne, PhB, BBQA How To Que! delivers practical, entertaining demonstrations that make grilling, barbecue, smoking and outdoor cooking accessible to everyone—from the weekend backyard griller to the serious barbecue enthusiast. Browne, widely known as the “Doctor of Barbecue,” is an accomplished chef, author, pitmaster, journalist, photographer and television personality. His honorary PhB (Doctor of Barbecue Philosophy) was awarded by the Kansas City Barbeque Society in recognition of his expertise and contribution to the world of barbecue. The series builds directly on the legacy of Barbecue America, the nationally distributed PBS cooking and travel series created, hosted and executive produced by Browne. Barbecue America took viewers on a culinary journey through the American barbecue belt and beyond, visiting legendary restaurants, festivals, competitions and barbecue destinations while exploring the people, traditions and techniques behind great outdoor cooking. BBQA How To Que! takes that larger television experience and distills it into 20+ short-form episodes averaging approximately three minutes each. Every episode focuses on a specific technique, ingredient, recipe or outdoor-cooking challenge, giving viewers useful information they can immediately take to the grill. From steaks, burgers, chicken and seafood to vegetables, desserts, sauces, rubs and specialty barbecue techniques, Browne demonstrates how to get better results without making outdoor cooking complicated. Episodes can cover charcoal and gas grilling, smoking, frying and other backyard cooking methods, with an emphasis on practical tips, preparation, timing, temperature and flavor. The format is intentionally concise. Each approximately three-minute episode gets directly to the point: what to cook, how to prepare it, how to cook it and how to get the best possible result. Browne’s experience and approachable personality provide the credibility of a seasoned culinary professional while keeping the presentation entertaining and easy to follow. More than a collection of recipes, BBQA How To Que! is an extension of the Barbecue America brand and its mission to celebrate outdoor cooking as a combination of food, technique, culture and community. Browne's years of traveling throughout the United States and internationally in search of outstanding barbecue give the series an authentic perspective that goes well beyond a conventional cooking demonstration. His television experience also gives the short-form episodes a natural, energetic presentation ideally suited to streaming, connected television and social video. The series is particularly well suited to the way audiences consume food content today. Short episodes can be watched individually, shared socially or viewed consecutively as a programming block. Each episode stands on its own while collectively creating a library of practical outdoor-cooking instruction. For longtime fans of Barbecue America, BBQA How To Que! provides a return to the familiar expertise and personality of Rick Browne in a new format. For a new generation of viewers, it offers an entertaining introduction to the fundamentals—and the fun—of grilling and barbecue. BBQA How To Que! is Barbecue America distilled to its most useful and entertaining form: Rick Browne, the grill, the food and a few minutes of proven barbecue knowledge.
