A lone infrastructure security consultant has 8 hours to stop a synchronized cyberattack on three European power grids before a hospital network goes dark mid-surgery.
MILO BRANDT, 38, is the kind of consultant who gets called when the systems that were supposed to prevent a crisis have already failed. He is flying home to Hamburg when the first grid goes dark. By the time his plane lands, the attack pattern is clear and the perpetrators have made exactly one demand: that the EU's lead cyber prosecutor — Milo's estranged wife, SARA — recant her testimony against a state-sponsored hacking collective or the hospital network comes next. Milo works alone and off-books. Sara refuses to recant. And the collective, it turns out, is not the one on trial. HARDLINE is a propulsive, technically grounded action-thriller with a real-world threat architecture, designed for a broad international theatrical audience.
