Synopsis

In the dangerous underworld of New York City, two young women, **Animé and Serene**, appear to be ordinary girls enjoying the excitement of city life. Beneath their striking appearances, however, lies a deadly secret: both are highly trained martial artists and members of **V6**, an elite all-female organization of professional assassins. Their extraordinary abilities are revealed during a late-night subway ride when a group of intoxicated young men begins harassing them. What starts as an uncomfortable encounter quickly erupts into a spectacular display of martial arts, leaving their attackers battered and humiliated. For Animé and Serene, however, the confrontation is merely a distraction on their way to something far more dangerous. Years earlier, Animé was known as Annie May, a troubled adopted child struggling to find acceptance. When classmates humiliate her for being adopted and brutally attack her brother Joe, Annie responds with shocking violence, repeatedly stabbing the attacker with a pencil. The incident changes her life forever. Frightened by her own actions and the fear she sees in her brother's eyes, Annie runs away, leaving her family and childhood behind. Living on the streets, Annie eventually discovers a martial arts studio operated by **Han**, a mysterious master with a troubled past. Fascinated by the students training below, she secretly studies their movements from a nearby rooftop. Her persistence eventually brings her face-to-face with Han's daughter, Serene. Despite their initial confrontation, Han recognizes Annie's potential and welcomes her into his school. Over time, Annie reinvents herself as Animé and develops an unbreakable friendship with Serene. Through rigorous training, the two become formidable fighters, with Animé's unpredictable aggression complementing Serene's discipline and precision. For the first time since abandoning her family, Animé discovers a sense of belonging. But Han has been keeping a devastating secret. Years earlier, Han was one of the most accomplished assassins working for a powerful criminal organization. During an assignment, he fell deeply in love with a fellow assassin named **Malena**. Their relationship was complicated by Malena's pregnancy and the revelation that Han was not the child's biological father. Overwhelmed by betrayal, Han unleashed his rage during an assignment, massacring his targets and killing a police officer. His actions brought severe consequences. **Aya Zumi**, a ruthless figure within the organization, permanently injured Han and forced him to raise Malena's daughter, Serene, after Malena died giving birth. What began as punishment eventually became genuine paternal love, and Han dedicated his life to protecting Serene from the violent world that had destroyed his own. Unfortunately, Aya has never forgotten her plans for the child. When Serene reaches adulthood, Aya demands that Han fulfill his obligation by surrendering her to V6. Serene discovers not only the truth about her upbringing but also that Animé was originally placed near her to monitor her development. Feeling betrayed by the two people she trusts most, Serene must decide whether to reject the organization or embrace the deadly destiny prepared for her. Ultimately, Animé and Serene enter V6, joining a colorful and dangerous sisterhood of women, each possessing distinctive personalities, fighting styles, and specialized weapons. Their first assignment takes them undercover into an upscale gentlemen's club, where they successfully assassinate a powerful criminal. Although the mission earns them official membership in V6, their reactions could not be more different. Animé finds the assignment disappointingly easy, while Serene struggles with the realization that she has taken a human life. To celebrate their success, the women of V6 enjoy a night out at a nightclub. A spirited dance battle against another group of women becomes a dazzling display of confidence, personality, and camaraderie, revealing a side of these deadly assassins rarely seen during their assignments. Beneath their dangerous profession exists genuine friendship, laughter, and sisterhood. But the celebration takes an unexpected turn when **Joe**, Animé's long-lost adopted brother, recognizes her in the crowd. Overwhelmed by memories of the childhood she abandoned, Animé flees. Joe desperately pursues her, hoping to reconnect with the sister his family lost years earlier. Serene, understanding the importance of family and the pain of discovering one's true identity, intervenes and encourages Animé to consider reconciliation. Joe's reappearance forces Animé to confront emotions she has spent years suppressing. For the first time, she begins questioning whether the life she has embraced is truly the life she wants. As Animé struggles with her past, Serene discovers that Joe has been concealing his true intentions. Believing he has betrayed Animé's trust, Serene takes matters into her own hands. Using her beauty and charm to lure him into a trap, she captures and brutally interrogates him, determined to protect her closest friend. Meanwhile, Animé begins contemplating an impossible choice: leaving V6 behind. When she approaches Aya, she discovers that membership in the organization is effectively a lifetime commitment. Anyone attempting to leave must earn that freedom through combat, with death as the ultimate consequence of failure. Refusing to surrender her independence, Animé challenges Aya. But Aya is a far more experienced and dangerous opponent. As the confrontation intensifies, Han becomes involved and is fatally wounded, devastating Animé and shattering what remains of her adopted family. Aya exploits the tragedy, manipulating events to turn the other V6 members against Animé. Branded a traitor and targeted for elimination, Animé suddenly finds herself hunted by the very women she once considered sisters. For Serene, the situation creates an agonizing conflict. V6 has become her family, offering purpose, friendship, and belonging. Yet Animé is the person who has stood beside her through years of training, hardship, and personal discovery. As V6 mobilizes to eliminate Animé, Serene realizes that loyalty cannot simply mean unquestioning obedience. She must decide whether to honor the organization that shaped her or defend the friendship that helped define who she has become. The conflict culminates in an explosive confrontation, pitting Animé and Serene against their former teammates. Every movement, every strike, and every hesitation carries the emotional weight of their shared history. The women who once trained, celebrated, and fought together must now face one another as enemies. At its heart, **GIRL TROUBLE** is more than a story about beautiful, deadly assassins. It explores the meaning of family, the consequences of violence, the struggle for personal identity, and the courage required to challenge the people and institutions that shape our lives. Blending high-energy martial arts, dark humor, psychological drama, stylish action, and emotionally driven storytelling, the series contrasts the glamour and excitement of an elite assassin sisterhood with the devastating human cost of the lives they lead. **Ultimately, *Girl Trouble* asks one question: When the people who taught you how to survive become the greatest threat to your freedom, how far will you go to protect the family you choose?**
